James He is a computer science major, with a minor in mathematics, at Simon Fraser University. With having many years of experience working on academic and personal development projects, such as graphics modelling tools, multimedia file encoder that heavily rely on object-oriented programming, he is never afraid to step outside of his comfort zone.
His strongest skillset is based in software development, especially object-oriented programming with Java and Python. In addition, James has developed his educational background by studying web development and familiarizing himself with utilizing HTML, CSS to develop responsive web pages, and using JavaScript to handle front-end and back-end interactions.
One of his top projects that he is most proud of is a full-stack textbook trading platform called BookTree, which was built and developed with React.js and Node.js.
James has worked at Netgear, as a firmware test engineer, as a co-op student, whose daily job was to collaborate with the team to develop an industry-level automation testing framework and scripts in Python to test the performance of the firmware functionalities. After his experience at Netgear, James learnt that teamwork can make any project into something bigger and better than if it were produced by a one-man team.
