Droplet tells the story of 'Droplet', a small water drop cast into the sewer system who must now escape to the ocean. In his journey Droplet navigates the challenges of the sewer by finding hot and cool vents to convert between steam and ice. Designed and built within the 48 hour time period of the Game Design Jam, Droplet took about 21 hours to develop. The team claimed their biggest challenges were designing a game that was fun and tweaking it to be less tedious. Based on the feedback of their mentors, they redesigned the game many times over, with a successful, working game as the result. In the end, they offered the following advice: Once you have a solid game idea at the start, build early and be prepared to iterate… ALOT.
