The Great Northern Way Trust (GNWT) scholarship is intended to recognize and provide funding to eight competitive, incoming graduate students who attained, or are in the process of attaining, a bachelor's degree from one of the Great Northern Way Trust's partner institutions: the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, or the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Students are selected based on the overall quality of their MDM application.
Terms of Reference & Criteria
Eight scholarships valued at $5,000 eachwill be awarded annually in the Fall term to students who fulfill the following criteria:
- Attained or is in the process of attaining a bachelors degree from one of Great Northern Way Trust’s partner institutions: the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art + Design or the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
- Hold a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.3 in their undergraduate studies at the time of application.
- Admitted into the Master of Digital Media program.
If suitable candidates are not identified, the award may be awarded in a subsequent term.
