Chayanin Somton is a 3D character artist with ambition and passion for learning. His interest in 3D modelling and game production started since he was twelve years old and has flourished since. He wants to hone his skills and broaden his knowledge and experience in the Digital Media industry.
Before MDM, Chayanin studied at Thammasat University(International Program) in Thailand and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He have background in 2D digital art production, 2D and 3D animation, 3D modelling/rendering, and 3D printing. He hopes to learn more about the industry, gain experiences, and build future professional relationships within this field so that he would be able to provide and use his current skill sets to good use for the Digital Media industry in the future.
Chayanin decided to pursue a Master's of Digital Media degree at the CDM right after getting his undergraduate degree because he felt like the CDM provides so many crucial and necessary resources for him to grow as a better artist. The CDM also offer chances for him to pursuit and try out even more career paths by providing opportunities for students to learn about many parts of Digital Media and try out different roles within the projects that's going to be offered every semester. Chayanin's goal with the CDM program is to gain and absorb as many experiences and skills this program offers, and to build meaningful relationships with likeminded people within this industry who have different skills and experiences as him. As for the future, one of his biggest dreams since he was 12 is to be a part of a game production company and build a game(s) that would inspire newer generations of artists just like what "a" game did for him over 10 years ago.
