Jaclynn started off as an accomplished research scientist, but quickly became a communication expert through her presenter and instructor roles at a science centre in Edmonton, AB. From the hit live programs she created and delivered to kids and adults alike, Jaclynn knows just how to connect with and engage different target audiences. Realizing that video games have the potential to engage even more people in interactive educational experiences, she then studied and taught game design in summer camps attended by more than 300 youths.
Jaclynn also spent three years working in Taiwan for an electronics manufacturing company, where she coordinated interdepartmental activities for the design, manufacture, and sale of electronic assemblies. She managed key client and government relations to acquire lucrative contracts and R&D grants, and was personally responsible for generating USD $80K in sales from new business. She also spearheaded innovative R&D projects to diversify the company's product portfolio, all the while improving her Mandarin language ability to professional working fluency.
Jaclynn’s goal in the Master of Digital Media program is to continue building project management expertise, while exploring the intersections of games and interactive media, with business, education, science, and health.
Jaclynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in English, as well as a Certificate in Computer Game Development from the University of Alberta.
