Joana is a Brazilian architect and UI Designer currently located in Vancouver. After studying Architecture and Urban Planning for 5 years she worked with housing and interior design for 5 more years, being half of that time running her own business as an independent architect working with a number of different clients. After that she started molding her career in a different direction studying Graphic Design from the California Institute of the Arts at Coursera, and UI & Communication Design at RED Academy in Vancouver where she was able to work with local startups and small companies building the UI for mobile apps and websites.
She joined the MDM as the program values her experience and will certainly help her direct all her background into the Digital Media field helping her to differentiate herself from others, improve her skills, and learn new ones.
