Wilson Leung is a Professional Animation and Motion Capture Director, Specialist, and Production Manager with over 25 years of experience and a Bachelor of Technology Management from BCIT. Almost 20 years at Electronic Arts and 4 years at Mainframe Entertainment (now Rainmaker).
Wilson specializes in developing Animation and Motion Capture Pipeline, designing and animating for both gameplay and cinematics, and developing and managing Outsourcing Strategy.
He has contributed to over 40 games, movies and animation projects in his career, which includes numerous blockbuster AAA titles such as Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Need for Speed, Harry Potter, FIFA, Medal of Honor, Dante’s Inferno, Dead Space, Gillette “Tiger Wood” commercial, Tron 2 the movie … etc. He is expert in animation software such as Motion Builder and Maya and also familiar with powerful game engine: Frostbite and Unreal. He is also fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, which allows him to communicate with overseas teams.
On the side, Wilson has been sharing his knowledge with young artists for over 20 years. He has taught at prestigious colleges such as BCIT, Langara College, Vancouver Film School, Think Tank, Arts Institute and Center for Arts and Technology in subjects including animation, rigging, lighting & rendering, video editing and Unreal.
Since Wilson's early age, he was in love with games and animation. And he is still thrilled to continue his career in game and education industry. He loves every day of making games and teaching.
At the Centre for Digital Media, he is looking to explore and to develop innovation skills in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality areas. It is Wilson's primary motivation to equip himself and prepare for his next chapter of career to create impactful digital media product to help people.
