This is the first of two 12-credit project courses where students work in teams on a semester-long project to solve a problem for an external client. Students continue to work with increased technical, artistic and management challenges that build on skills developed while creating projects in the previous semester. The primary objective of the course is to provide a hands-on experience in working with an interdisciplinary team. Students also learn to collaborate with clients, and implement project management practices adapted to their individual project needs.
Since the project is self -managed, students have the opportunity to work on different aspects of the project. For example, a software engineer could try project management, or an artist could work on making technical contributions. Students are evaluated on client satisfaction, collaboration, communication and self-development.
