On Tuesday, April 7, 2026 the Centre for Digital Media (CDM) welcomed the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages, for an immersive visit highlighting CDM’s applied, industry-integrated approach to education.

The visit offered a firsthand look at how CDM brings together students, faculty and industry partners to create digital products and experiences. Projects demonstrated how this model supports hands-on learning while connecting directly to current industry and societal challenges.

The experience was designed as a fast-paced, interactive tour, allowing the Minister to engage directly with digital projects across the CDM ecosystem.

“Visiting CDM and experiencing these projects firsthand truly showcased the talent and creativity shaping Canada’s digital future. The collaboration between students, creators and industry at CDM is inspiring and essential to ensuring that our next generation of creators continues to push Canada’s digital and creative industries forward and to drive solutions with global impact,” noted Minister Miller.
