Jater is a Technical Sound Designer and Audio Programmer who works in the video game industry, he has worked on multiple professional big and small game projects in the industry and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Game Development from Carleton University. The games he worked on can be found on popular online stores such as Steam and AppStore and 2 of the projects he participated in are presented on the world’s top gaming shows such as ChinaJoy and E3. He also studied music production at Point Blank Music School and did multiple side gigs as a Music Producer. The music work he did can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms.
After graduating from university, Jater came to Vancouver to study Master of Digital Media program from CDM. He likes the collaboration and open communication environments here. He works with his teammates as a programmer and sound designer for the projects in CDM. During the studying time in CDM, Jater participated in the contest hosted by Niantic with 8 of his cohort members, the AR game project the team made had won the global top 10 position in the competition.
For the future, Jater will mainly work in the video game industry as an audio crew member and continue making good tunes for his music project on the side.
