Tianyi Tang

Tianyi recently graduated from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design, with a Bachelor of Communication Design. As a 2D designer, Tianyi's past experiences relate mostly to editorial, graphic design, and UX/UI design. Her professional goals are to continue learning as a designer, bringing versatility and fresh ideas to the ‘drawing table’ while developing on her current strengths. She intends to explore how the integration of divergent cultures and societies can be actualized. For example, Western design is often considered very avant-garde, whereas Oriental cultures often emphasize the importance of tradition. She believes that both can be expressed and that these two varying styles can work cohesively together to make a refined design that can appeal not only to people of these two groups, but to a larger array of people in general.
