Improving Mental Health Service Access with First Nations Health Authority(FNHA)
Back to ProjectsAt Team Trestle, we bring together designers, developers, artists, and project management expertise through the Centre for Digital Media. Guided by our diverse cultural and professional perspectives, we create digital experiences that are thoughtful, accessible, and grounded in empathy. Our goal is to create human-centered solutions that reflect community needs, experiences, and perspectives while delivering meaningful impact.
In collaboration with First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), we explored how digital platforms can make mental health and primary care services across British Columbia easier to access, understand, and navigate.
Our project reimagines healthcare discovery through an interactive experience that helps users connect with culturally safe services. Through intuitive navigation, personalized search, and accessible design, the platform supports finding providers based on location, cultural safety, specialties, accessibility needs, youth services, and LGBTQ2SIA+ sensitivity.
By combining human-centered design with emerging technology, we aim to reduce barriers to care and create a more supportive and inclusive healthcare experience for communities across British Columbia.
