3D scanned environment integration game with PixlWorksBack to Projects
This project is a partnership between Pixlworks and MeshCat, a multidisciplinary group of Centre for Digital Media (CDM) students. This project attempts to provide a framework that can connect a first-person shooter or similar game to a 3D scanned environment. A 3D scanned location (possibly inside and outside) of an actual site will be provided in either OBJ or E57 point cloud format, which can then be utilized as the backdrop for a game being created. The platform would allow the creation and usage of additional games in any scanned area.
