The goal of this project is to pitch and develop a prototype of a massive multiplayer casual game on the web in the vein of slither.io or agar.io. The key is to develop simple but engaging mechanics that utilize the emergent gameplay associated with multiplayer competition. The game will be on an HTML5 framework that will support multiple connections as well as ensure fast loading speeds and no lag in-game. The art style will fit the theme of the game as well as be rendered so as to optimize performance.The project is creatively open both in terms of mechanics and development, but the prototype will demonstrate scalability and possess the key elements desired, namely, efficiency, multiplayer support and ubiquitous engagement.
