First Nations Technology Council wants an innovative way to build awareness of First Nations art and cultural icons. They feel that a game will help them facilitate knowledge transfer, maintain interest amongst both aboriginal and non-aboriginal people, connect communities as well as assisting in cataloging First Nations art and cultural icons.
Team Chinchilla will build a social game that features an online marketplace, which hosts user-created content. Each item will have some significance within the context of the game mechanics, which will increase its desirability and encourage the user to research and add information to the items. Consequently, the game will educate and create awareness.
